Demons News · Devin Wilson Closes Out His LE Wrestling Career with 3 Victories

Devin Wilson has been a winner in the sport of wrestling ever since he set foot on the Lugoff-Elgin campus.  He is a two-time State Qualifier and finished his senior season in championship style.  On the 24th of February Devin place 3rd in the 132lb weight class, which means that he won his last match of the tournament.  This past weekend, March 2nd and 3rd, Devin went undefeated at the North/South All Star Classic held in Myrtle Beach, featuring some of SC’s most outstanding and accomplished wrestlers.  Devin, LE’s only representative at the tournament, won 3 matches over two days of competition.

In his first match he defeated 2X State Runner Up Drew Thomas of Boiling Springs by decision (9-8).  Second, he defeated 2X State Qualifier and State Placer Luke Brown of Clover by decision (7-1).  Lastly, on the second day of competition, he defeated multiple time State Placer Bo Wooten of BHP by decision (8-3).

Devin sure knows how to put on a show for fans and supporters.  We hope that his post-high school wrestling career is full of the same level of success and more than his high school career was.  Congratulations, Devin and thank you for the hard work and entertaining battles you provided us with over 4 years.  Go Devin and Go Demons!!
