Visiting team Dutch Fork came in to Wednesday Nights matchup as the #2 Ranked Team in AAAAA by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association and proved to be a tough test for the Demons.

After trailing by 11 at the half, the Demons used their full-court pressure in the 3rd quarter to bring them within 4 to start the 4th quarter, 44-40. Dutch Fork made big free-throws down the stretch and were able to hang on to a 62-53 victory.

Lugoff-Elgin’s Devante Johnson led all scorers with 25 points. Johnson is averaging 22ppg and is a top 10 scorer in South Carolina. (MaxPreps)

The Demons are back in action December 26-28 as they compete in the Brookland Cayce Roundball Classic.
